Jamaican Grammy award winner, multiple Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping international reggae/dancehall icon, Buju Banton on May 9th, 2020 released the first single from his much-anticipated album, “Upside Down,’’ his first full-length studio album in a decade. The tune is titled “Memories”, a classic suave and Barrington mixed medley with Buju and Multiple Grammy award winner, John Legend, is a lover’s rock for all ages. It marks the second time these acts have collaborated, after working on John’s Spring 2009 release “Can’t Be My Lover’’. Buju Banton appeared at Madison Square Garden for a live performance of the song with John Legend that rocked a sold-out summer-crowd, a few months ago prior to the song’s release. “Memories” is available to stream on here...https://www.google.com/url?q=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3Dt9pMjc0-Vlk&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwjFxs7XvbTpAhXFA2MBHfhkC1wQtwIwAXoECAQQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1lsJ3vAUgLX6jGavHyK1YO

It was written by Buju Banton, Steven “Lenky” Mardsen and legendary producer and longtime Banton collaborator Donavan Germain. “Things change, people change, time changes but good friendship and memories will never change. This is another special one with my good friend John. We hope the masses love it, says Buju Banton. John Legend articulated, “I was so excited to collaborate with Buju on another song. He’s an icon, and this song is another classic.” The reggae icon celebrated his return to the worldwide platform following his performance at Kingston’s Famed National Stadium. The Long Walk to Freedom Concert was one of the biggest music events in Jamaica’s history and was the launching pad for the tour of the same name. Fast forward, his subsequent announcement that he had signed with Jay’s Roc Nation followed by dropping two brand new songs “Steppa” and ‘Trust” as well as music videos rejuvenated his massive global fans. Buju’s last project which copped him a Grammy plaque “Before the Dawn” unleased in 2010 was mega. He is currently adding finishing touches to “Upside Down”. Brace yourself for a Buju Banton season.
