Attaining a billionaire status is not achieved on a silver platter hence most people do not even dream about it, not to alone try to pursue the dream. Kanye West has now levelled up, joining the likes of Jay Z his former crony and label mate. Looking at the success both Acts have accomplished, one can see just how complex it is to bag billionaire status especially as a “ghetto chap”. Tellingly, to conclude that Mr. West has actually surpassed Jay Z’s net worth according to Forbes means Kanye’s green bag weighs at $1.3billion dollars, $300 million dollars more than Jay Z. In Forbes’s own words, Kanye’s sudden billionaire status was courtesy of his undeniable lit sneaker brand “Yeezy”. The magazine proceeded and revealed that “in just a few years, Kanye has created a brand that’s challenging Nike’s Air Jordan for sneaker world supremacy! Additionally, another big moneymaker for Kanye West has been G.O.O.D. Music Records. Forbes estimates that the record label is worth over $90 million dollars. Kanye West was in the news recently after he declared his intention to turn a new leaf and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as his saviour, coupled with a release of two gospel albums titled “Jesus is King” and “Jesus is Born” last year.
