7 MORE MEDIA BIGWIGS EGRESS MULTIMEDIA

Just as we thought the incessant resignations dust has settled at Kwesi Twum’s reputable Multimedia empire for now. Another set of media personality has called it quit, moving on to pursue new endeavours.

Sizzling award-winning investigative journalist, Seth Kwame Boateng, Editor of myjoyonline.com, Malik Abass Daabu and General Manager of the Joy Cluster of the Multimedia Group are among the current employees to exit from the private media giant.

Reliable sources indicate that Seth Kwame Boateng has joined the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA). He further expatiated; he will still combine his work at Multimedia.

Mr. Daabu, editor of the online department of Joy FM exited early this year to take up a new challenge as head of Public Relations at the Ghana Maritime Authority. Prior to his exit, he served as Joy FM’s in-house political analyst and also doubles as the head of investigative desk after the resignation of Manasseh Azure Awuni last year.

Ms. Emma Morrison also bid her colleagues farewell on her birthday, June 5th, 2020. The General Manager of the Joy Cluster (Radio/TV) is set to chase her private endeavour. She held different roles at Multimedia and rose through the ranks to be the general manager.

Other familiar faces on screens including the likes of Emmanuel Aboagye Wiafe, Philip Nanfuri, Norvan Acquah Hayford, from Joy Business department have also part ways with Multimedia Group.

Finally, award-winning Sports journalist, Benedict Owusu have also left. He is now a service provider for Joy FM.

Tellingly, these few months is coupled with incessant resignations and contract terminations from a media house celebrating its 25th Anniversary in broadcasting business and it has caught many audiences asking questions what could have be the reasons.

As many walked out majestically, the media firm also laid off some of its employees. Renowned actress and media personality, Naa Ashorkor was one of the victims.
